Bangkok November 17th, 2023 – True Corporation is dedicated to creating opportunities for Generation Z students to actively engage in real business challenges. Recently, True Lab, the organization promoting activities and nurturing startup businesses, collaborated with True Space, providing co-working space and meeting rooms. This initiative is designed for students and startup businesses, aligning with the lifestyle of individuals who seek increased flexibility in their work. They launched the project ‘True LAB Business Case Challenge x True Space,’ offering students the chance to present ideas and marketing campaigns to attract more customers to use True Space services.
In this competition, a total of 40 student teams submitted applications, with only the top 11 teams making it through a rigorous selection process. These teams received expert guidance from True Space within a short two-week period. During this time, students managed to create marketing campaigns that resulted in an impressive 715 comments and 4,126 shares through digital media. The campaigns also saw substantial real-world engagement at True Space, with a total of 642 participants. The top 11 teams proceeded to the presentation round, showcasing their campaigns to the judging panel from True Space. Finally, three winning teams were announced, receiving monetary prizes along with the opportunity to further develop their businesses by collaborating with True Space, propelling them into the next phase of entrepreneurship.
Commencing with the accolade of ‘The Winner of True Lab Business Case Challenge x True Space’ and securing the title of ‘The Best of Branch’ for Siam Square Soi 2 branch, Team Space A from Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, and Kasetsart University presented an activity inviting students to join the Case Club project. They introduced a simple financial planning approach and the Social Connect University activity, encouraging students from different universities to get to know each other. The team conducted activities for idea exchange, inviting participation through digital media. The project garnered 16 comments, 18 shares, and had 62 participants at True Space, making it a successful initiative that can be extended to all branches of True Space.
The Best of Branch award for the Mahidol Sala Ya branch goes to Team Bettergirls from Thammasat University. They presented an engaging activity titled ‘Halloween Boardgame and Mystery Box,’ inviting students to participate through digital media. The campaign garnered 155 comments, 3,463 shares, and had 47 participants at True Space, making it a standout initiative for the Mahidol Sala Ya branch.
The Best of Branch award for the Asoke branch goes to Team Mhu Daeng from Srinakharinwirot University. They presented an enticing activity inviting student groups to utilize special privileges from True and DTAC to access True Space. The team also organized a UX/UI course that addressed digital learning needs. The campaign, promoted through digital media, resulted in 167 comments, 151 shares, and had 238 participants at True Space, making it a standout initiative for the Asoke branch.
Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, Head of Regulatory & Government Relations Division (Acting) at True Corporation, stated, ‘Congratulations to all three winning teams and commendations to every team that participated in the competition and made it to the final round. I believe everyone has learned about business planning and applied it to real business challenges. Each team presented creative and interesting ideas, making the judging process extremely challenging. Ultimately, we selected projects that demonstrated excellence, had the potential to increase user engagement, and could generate significant business value. True Space looks forward to advancing these promising ideas.’
Furthermore, True Corporation plans to organize both True LAB Hackathon and True LAB Business Case activities consecutively next year. The aim is to cultivate entrepreneurial skills and foster innovation among the younger generation, contributing to the elevation of Thailand’s competitiveness in the future.
