Bangkok April 1st, 2024 – Life is better when we stride together…The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, led by Mr. kantapong Rangsi Sawang, Director General, along with the Autistic Thai Foundation, led by Mr. Chusak Chantayanon, Chairman of the Foundation and Charoen Pokphand Group, together with True Corporation under the TruePlookpanya initiative led by Dr. Naetchanok Wipatasinlapin, Head of Strategy and Education Division, have jointly inaugurated the “Autism Digital Learning Center.” This initiative aims to develop prototype digital skills for individuals with autism, the first of its kind in Thailand, with the hope of becoming a “space for learning and fulfillment of potential” for individuals with autism and their families. The center offers supplementary courses to enhance developmental, learning, socialization, and digital skills, ultimately aiming to elevate career prospects and income levels, leading to sustainable quality of life. True Corporation has leveraged various organizational capabilities to support the initiative, particularly in innovation and digital technology to adapt to the new era. The ultimate goal is for individuals with autism and their families to be self-reliant and live meaningful lives in society. Additionally, they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
By leveraging digital technology, various courses are developed, such as enhancing basic skills through Virtual Reality (VR) and incorporating English language courses from True Click Life to reinforce English language learning skills for the children. Additionally, events are organized on the World Autism Awareness Day, which falls on April 2nd every year, under the theme “Life is better when we stride together.” The objective is to raise awareness about the potential of individuals withautism in society. Furthermore, True Corporation supports the expansion of the “Autism Digital Learning Center” to cover 40 locations nationwide by inviting the general public, including all sectors, to contribute to the expansion of these learning centers through the TrueMoney App.
In all these efforts, Charoen Pokphand Group and True Corporation aim to promote inclusivity within society, respecting differences and acknowledging the potential of individuals with autism. At the beginning of the past year, they opened prototype spaces for collaborative learning between individuals with autism and the general public, fostering imagination and inspiration through artistic endeavors under the name Artstory Creative Hub. Additionally, True CJ Creative produced the series “Good Doctor,” which showcases the exceptional intelligence of individuals with autism. This series serves as another force to help people in society understand, accept, and actively participate in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with autism, aligning with the theme of this year’s campaign.
