- True Lab X Mordee App announces winners of the “True Lab Hackathon” Business Plan Pitching Competition: 1) Chan- Ruay, 2) Thianthan, and 3) Thrillion X
Bangkok, 18 September 2023 – True Corporation as represented by True Lab and Mordee the leading telemedicine app, jointly set a higher target for access to healthcare for Thai people. To support this ambition, new features proposed by winners of the True Lab Hackathon will be added to the Mordee app aimed at teenagers, LGBTQ, and health lovers.
The True Lab Hackathon attracted a huge entry of 154 teams, and 16 finalists were selected for pitching between 2-3 September 2023. These finalists were supported by the Mordee app with specialist doctor mentors alongside UX/UI, legal, and governance mentors to help refine and produce their final pitch decks. The finalists made their pitching in front of a panel of judges comprising experts in medicine, technology, governance, and data privacy. Three teams were selected as winners with prize money to further their businesses and the opportunity to work with True Digital Health.
3 Outstanding Business Plan Pitches from Rising New Innovators
The Winner: Chan-Ruay Team – proposed an idea for vaccination-at-home packages for exchange students and students furthering studies overseas. The team comprises Jinjutha Saeung, CEO; Natchanon Zheng, CMO, Ratchanon Thanatsang, CTO, Nivana Chaivoraprug, CFO and Kalyarak Kritpidhayaburana, CPO.
First Runner-Up: Thianthan Team – pitched a feature called PrideDee for LGBTQ groups and specifically with gay men who wish to consult on HIV and intimacy online. The team consists of Korlab Kobkoy, Experience Designer; Khanisorn Lertpattanasak, Oncology Pharmacist; Sukrit Promtang, Molecular Medicine; and Tanyarat Pattarametheesuwakul, Senior Business Development.
Second Runner-Up: Thrillion X Team – suggested a feature for health lovers to address a wide range of needs from weight watching, dieting, health food delivery, and weight watching content and categorize members into Student/ Silver/ Gold. The team members are Sirinadda Eckachai, CEO; Thanutchaya Phanichewa, CTO; Buabucha Tantayopin, CMO and Apichaya Wongjaroenwanich, Project Manager.
Fresh New Ideas for Thai Telemedicine
Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of True Corporation PLC, said, “I wish to congratulate all three winning teams and 13 finalists of the True Lab Hackathon. All the teams had great ideas with great backing information and interesting presentations making the jobs of our judges difficult. The winners are selected from the most outstanding pitches with the most feasible user expansion, conversion, and output plans. They also demonstrate an understanding of user behavior data collection and analysis of demographics that can be determined with qualitative data. Their proposed approach to identifying customer persona is a first for Thai telemedicine an industry first.”
