Smart healthcare solutions for diagnosis and treatment

  • Telemedicine and Tele ICU: A telemedicine service via the True 5G network that connects medical equipment installed in various local areas to the hospital’s central system. The platform stores patient data and medical history, recording all medical actions such as diagnosis, treatment, doctor appointments, and surgeries. This information is displayed on a dashboard, allowing doctors to consult and treat patients in real-time remotely. This system improves healthcare access for remote communities, streamlines continuous care, and minimizes hospital visits.

  • Future of Large Language Model (LLM): A platform for checking patient history and conducting initial symptom analysis. Via this platform, patients can input personal information and symptoms, and the AI system will analyze the symptoms using the latest medical data. It provides in-depth insights into the causes and treatment options for diseases or health issues, as well as the next steps in treatment. This helps patients receive faster care, reduces the procedures and time needed to see a doctor, and enhances the efficiency of doctors and medical personnel. Together with TrueBusiness, Intel supports AI to run on existing servers both on-premises and in-cloud with the latest Intel innovations in Server CPUs such as the 5th Gen Intel® Xeon® with SGX for secure computing, OpenFL for federated learning, and the Intel® oneAPI for AI training and inferencing using AMX acceleration.

  • Pathology as a Service: A platform that leverages tissue slide scanning technology to digitize pathology images, which are then swiftly analyzed by AI, streamlining the testing process for tissue and blood samples. This accelerates pathologists’ work, increasing both efficiency and diagnostic precision. Early disease detection is facilitated, allowing patients to access timely treatments. For instance, AI-driven digital pathology can detect cancers in minutes, a process that traditionally could take weeks. True Corporation’s cloud hosting and secure networking enable the deployment of Digital Pathology-as-a-Service across Thai medical institutions, enhancing diagnostic reach while reducing the cost per detection.

  • Ophthalmology as a Service: A platform that enables analysis and screening for eye conditions like age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, utilizing AI-powered retinal cameras and computers for automatic diagnoses. This quick, under-a-minute process provides accurate exams without the discomfort of dilating drops. Intel’s AI-enabled product suite further improves detection capabilities for conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy, bone density in Osteoporosis, and Pathology for breast and renal cancers.

Smart healthcare solutions for rehabilitation

  • Digital Patient Twin (Patient Management as a Service – PMaaS): A solution for enhancing patient care and safety using contactless devices. Various patient data, such as body temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep quality, and patient position on the bed, are transmitted to sensors installed on the ceiling above the patient’s bed. This data is then connected to a central system that collects and generates notification alerts when abnormalities are detected. This allows for closer, faster, safer, and more efficient patient monitoring without disrupting the patient’s rest for regular measurements.

  • Residential Care Management: A platform for elderly care that ensures close and continuous monitoring by medical personnel. Using Edge IoT devices and sensors installed on wheelchairs, mobile phones, or tablets, the system records data digitally and transmits it in real time over the True 5G network. This data is collected on a platform that uses AI technology to analyze and understand behavior and health risks. It is integrated with hospital systems and can provide immediate alerts when risks or abnormalities are detected.

Smart healthcare solutions for medical data management

  • Transforming PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System): A solution designed to revolutionize the storage of medical images, including radiographic images, through an AI platform. This AI solution can be utilized anywhere, even in remote areas, by connecting to various cloud platforms. It reduces the limitations and complexities associated with IT infrastructure.

Proving Results with Two Case Studies from Real-World Use*

  • Tissue analysis for cancer diagnosis is now 2,000 times faster than traditional methods.

Typically, pathologists take up to 2 weeks or more to analyze tissue samples for various diseases, especially cancer, particularly if the hospital is in a remote area with a shortage of specialists and medical equipment. This delay can lead to untimely treatment and an increased risk of disease progression. The Pathology as a Service solution introduces an AI platform for analyzing pathology images, which reduces analysis time to just 5 minutes and enhances research accuracy. Pathologists can share digital pathology images with global teams working remotely, facilitating real-time collaboration and consultation on patient treatment. This addresses the global shortage of pathologists, particularly in Southeast Asia. Importantly, Pathology as a Service also promotes collaboration in the development of new medication and advancements in pathology.

  • Patient or rehabilitation care using contactless devices increases care efficiency by 30%.

Enhancing the patient rehabilitation experience through close monitoring without disturbing their rest. This eliminates the need for multiple physical medical devices attached to the patient’s body, allowing patients to move more comfortably. At the same time, doctors and medical personnel can improve patient care with the Digital Patient Twin solution. This uses various body measurement tools and detects emergency events for patients on bed rest with sensor devices that transmit live streams and process data using intelligent AI systems. Emergency alerts are sent out, leading to timely and appropriate decisions. This reduces the workload and procedures required in clinics or patient wards and helps address the shortage of doctors and medical personnel. With this solution, one medical personnel can care for up to 10 patients, compared to the previous need for an average of 3 nurses per 10 patients.
