True Corporation is confident that we will be another key driver in driving the country’s economy, especially in the tourism sector. In addition to connectivity, signal coverage, and speed that already allow tourists to fully utilize our services, we will also introduce digital technology

innovations to further enhance the capabilities of small, medium, and large tourism-related businesses. This will increase opportunities to attract tourists from around the world and leave a lasting impression every time they visit Thailand.”

By partnering with strong allies, expanding market bases, and fostering confidence in tourism, we aim to bolster our efforts and create a robust tourism industry.”

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated, “In this year, the government aims to position Thailand as a Tourism Hub, driving sustainable economic growth in all dimensions. We emphasize quality tourism experiences in both primary and secondary cities, utilizing soft power through food, culture, traditional festivals, concerts, art events, sports, and martial arts. In 2024, TAT accelerates the recovery of tourism, both in demand and supply, by focusing on creating a new, valuable, balanced, and sustainable environmental system. We strengthen resilience to ensure tourism stability, advancing towards high-value and sustainable tourism. We aim to generate income from high-spending tourists, develop supply chains with industry partners to welcome high-quality tourist groups, and distribute income widely and fairly. It is expected to generate over 3 trillion baht in revenue, including 1.92 trillion baht from international tourists and 1.08 trillion baht from domestic tourism.”

Furthermore, TAT has launched the “365 Days Wonderful Secondary City Tourism” project aimed at promoting year-round tourism in secondary cities throughout 2024. This initiative involves collaboration with both public and private sectors, organizing campaigns and promotional activities to showcase Thai products and tourism in line with the concept of Soft Power, reflecting the unique identities of each secondary city nationwide. These efforts are intended to attract tourists to visit and explore these cities throughout the year. It is anticipated that in 2024, revenue from secondary city tourism will grow by a solid 10-15% from 2023, leading to income distribution to local communities, increased economic activity in each province, and overall economic growth for the country. This will contribute to sustainable tourism development in the future.”
