True Corporation is ready to support the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) measures to prevent scammer’s calls. Customers holding six or more SIM cards will receive SMS notifications. Identity verification can be completed in-store or online starting from January 16, 2024.

Bangkok, January 12, 2024 – The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), represented by Pol. Lt. Gen. Nattathorn Phaosunthon (left), Commissioner of NBTC Legal Affairs, collaborated with True Corporation led by Mr.Chakkrit Urairat (right), Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Executive Committee, announced the elevation of security measures to counter threats from scam calls  that have caused widespread disturbances by disrupting telephone circuits. Previously, there were suspicions surrounding certain outgoing phone numbers, leading to the suspension of those numbers. True Corporation supports the government’s initiative by requesting mobile phone service users on TrueMove H and dtac networks, both postpaid and prepaid, holding 6 or more digits, to verify their identities starting from January 16, 2023. The company will send SMS notifications to customers with the specified numbers, and the registration process will be carried out gradually to ensure continuous SIM card usage.For customers holding 101 or more numbers, identity verification must be completed by February 14, 2024, while those with 6 to 100 numbers must verify their identities by July 13, 2024. TrueMove H customers can confirm ownership through True shops nationwide or https://www.true.th/re-id/true, while dtac customers can do so through dtac service centers nationwide or https://www.true.th/re-id/dtac.

The company recognizes the need to actively participate in eliminating the dangers posed by unscrupulous individuals operating in the digital age and is committed to ensuring the safety of all customers from such threats.True Corporation is willing to collaborate in resolving issues across all sectors. Most recently, the company is actively supporting the measures implemented by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) regarding identity verification and providing information about mobile phone service usage. True Corporation has developed and implemented secure systems to facilitate customer convenience for both TrueMove H and dtac customers, including those on postpaid and prepaid packages, holding 6 or more numbers.The company has taken steps to enhance security measures to allow continuous SIM card usage. True Corporation will send SMS notifications to customers based on specific guidelines, prompting them to register within designated timeframes. Customers with 6 to 100 SIM cards are required to verify their identity within 180 days until July 13, 2024, while those with 101 or more SIM cards must complete the process within 30 days or by February 14, 2024. Verification can be done in-store or online with confidence in security through the OTP (One-Time Password) system.
