True Corporation Collaborates with NBTC Relief Caravan in Sukhothai to Assist Flood Victims and Ensure Continuous Network Quality

August 28, 2024 – True Corporation in collaboration with the NBTC assessed the flood situation in the Si Samrong and Sawankhalok districts of Sukhothai to ensure mobile network quality and reassure users during the crisis. The company provided 500 relief packages to affected communities. Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of True Corporation Plc, and Mr. Trairat Viriyasirikul, Deputy Secretary General of Strategic and Internal Affairs Cluster and Acting Secretary General of NBTC, led the field efforts. True Corporation has consistently planned flood relief efforts, establishing monitoring teams to address potential impacts in central provinces and Bangkok.

 

 

Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of True Corporation Plc, said, “True Corporation stands with all flood victims. Our team is committed to ensuring continuous communication services and providing relief supplies, including dry food, drinking water, and medicine, to those in Sukhothai. We have also been assisting flood-affected areas in the north, working with the Nan Chamber of Commerce and Nan Hospital to deliver essential supplies. Additionally, we are collaborating with the NBTC in Sukhothai to assess mobile network performance and ensure uninterrupted service for both True and dtac customers, even during emergencies.”

 

 

True Corporation’s network team is stationed at various bases in flood-affected northern provinces and other high-risk areas. They are operating under an emergency plan to ensure service continuity. A special operations team has been established at the Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance network reliability for 5G, 4G, and home internet services. COWs (Cells-On-Wheels), fast-moving mobile signal base stations, as well as vehicles and boats, have been prepared for deployment in flood-affected areas, along with backup equipment for emergency repairs. Coordination with relevant government and private agencies is also in place to ensure continuous and efficient service.

 

 

True Corporation has also extended support to customers in affected areas, including extending service periods for prepaid customers, suspending service disconnections, and extending payment deadlines for postpaid customers of TrueMove H, dtac, TrueOnline, and TrueVisions by 7 days. Customers will receive SMS confirmation of their rights.
