True Corporation Clarifies to NBTC Regarding the Signal Quality and Package Fee Issues, Emphasizing its Stance as the Leading Thai Telecom-Tech Company to Provide the Best Value for Customers

December 18th, 2023 – True Corporation Plc led by Mr Chakkrit Urairat (2nd from right), Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Mr Prateth Tankyranun (far right), Chief Technology Officer along with network and commercial teams met with Mr Trairat Viriyasirikul (2nd from left), Acting Secretary General of NBTC and Mr Sutisak Tantayotin (far left), Deputy Secretary General of NBTC and the NBTC Committee to clarify about the signal quality, package fees and customer service, emphasizing its standard and propelling to enhance its quality.

 

True Corporation executives meet with NBTC to clarify important issues as followed;

Aims to develop signal quality for customers – True Corporation is determined to provide the best service for all customers. After the amalgamation between True and dtac, the 5G and 4G quality signal immediately improved for both True and dtac brands from the roaming of 2600 MHz and 700 MHz frequencies with more network coverage. Before the merger, 4G coverage of dtac and True cover 96.93% and 99.06% respectively, after the amalgamation, the coverage of both brands reach 99.28%.  While the 5G coverage of dtac and True were 46.87% and 85.69% respectively prior to the amalgamation, now both dtac and True has 90% 5G coverage. Moreover, the state-of-the-art technology that manages “Single Grid” has resulted in better signal, minimize signal interruption and expand the coverage nationwide which is expected to be completed by 2025. Customers of dtac could contact 1678 call center and True customers could contact 1242 call center if there is any problem occurred in the service area and the technician team will be ready to inspect to improve service experiences.

 

 

Offering various valuable packages: Packages started from 100 baht up for both pre-paid and post-paid customers in which each package is differentiate and comes with various conditions for customers to choose what is the best for each preference. With the changing lifestyle of data usage that has been adjusted with digital trend, the quantity of data usage of both True and dtac customers has significantly increased with True customers up by 24% and dtac customers up 18%. This is resulted from the fully digitalization of content and lifestyle. Therefore, the mobile phone packages have been adjusted for varieties with additional non-telcom benefits being offered to serve the current digital lifestyles such as cash coupon, content on various platforms to get free and discount viewing on EPL matches, movies, series, TrueID, TrueX, insurance, food & beverages from popular brands and discount from department stores.

 

 

At the same time, if the contract of the package expired, the company will send SMS to inform customers 30 days in advanced and offering the most suitable package to ft customer’s lifestyle and continue a seamless service. If customers do not wish to switch the package, post-paid customers could continue use the same package or apply for other packages while prepaid customers could also choose their preferable package.
