20 October 2022 – dtac’s “Think Hai D” program invites employees of Mitr Phol Group to take part in the #ThinkHaiDMeeTaeDai e-waste recycling campaign. The mobile operator will set up Think Hai D bins at Mitr Phol headquarters to collect e-waste. The collected e-waste will undergo a recycling process that meets international standards and avoids landfills.
Did you know that almost every human activity contributes to carbon emissions and climate change? For example, watching movies on a smartphone for 30 minutes generates about 1.6 kgCO2e.
Mr. Sharad Mehrotra, CEO of Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, said “So far this year we have worked to recycle more than 37,000 units of e-waste, which contributes to a reduction of over 355,000 kilograms of carbon equivalent. As climate change is accelerating to becoming a global climate emergency, dtac continues to raise awareness and motivate its employees and the public to act on climate change. We believe everyone has a role in the fight against this climate emergency.”

Mitr Phol Group aims to achieve Net Zero GHG emissions by 2050 as part of its environmental management plan to drive changes in the organization and create a sustainable future for younger generations.
#ThinkHaiD campaign invites the public to properly dispose of disused IT devices to reduce landfill waste at special bins located at its 51 dtac Halls nationwide or any branches of CSC and IT City across Bangkok. Those who participate have a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy A22 5G valued at 8,880 baht and many other prizes worth a total of over 270,000 baht.
