- The two internet providers join forces to foster customer services by leveraging mobile and fixed broadband for seamless connectivity
December 3, 2019 – Total Access Communications Plc, or dtac through dtac Trinet and Triple T Broadband Plc, today announced their strategic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Business Cooperation Framework to maximize customer services and infrastructure sharing nationwide.
The strategic collaboration will enhance both providers’ services, leading to additional revenue. The move is also aimed at maintaining existing subscribers and widening their subscriber base with more extensive services, benefiting both consumers and the telecom industry.
Presently, dtac has a total number of subscribers of 20.4 million with more than 400 customer service points. It currently provides third and fourth generation mobile services (3G/4G) and is preparing itself to usher in the 5G era. 3BB has a solid foundation with quality fixed broadband and a variety of services, covering a wide range of segments, such as retail customers and corporate clients. 3BB has 3 million subscribers with more than 500 stores nationwide. The partnership is expected to maximize customer value and serve the digital lifestyle of Thai people.
The MoU covers a partnership on promotion and marketing, leveraging multiple services: mobile broadband, Wi-Fi, over-the-top service and content distribution. In addition, their customers will also be able to subscribe and purchase products and services from both companies. This partnership includes infrastructure sharing and joint marketing campaigns. Further business collaborations will also be explored in the future.
