dtac TriNet Pays 2nd Installment for 700 MHz Spectrum License Fee

January 7, 2022 – On 19 June 2019, dtac TriNet was awarded telecommunications frequency allocation in the 700 MHz spectrum with 713-723 MHz and 768-778 MHz bands. On 7 January 2022, dtac TriNet paid 1,881,488,000 THB for the second installment of the 700 MHz license fee, including VAT. Also included with the payment is the bank guarantee for the remaining outstanding balance of 15,051,904,000 THB, including VAT. The payment was made successfully to the NBTC office as per payment requirements.

dtac has deployed a 700 MHz low-frequency band nationwide to expand coverage and capacity of the network as part of a strategy to bring high-speed internet to all subscribers. dtac focuses on continually improving and developing our network for high-speed internet services and expanding the network for more and more coverage. So far, dtac has deployed more than 12,000 base stations for the 700 MHz spectrum, covering 923 districts in all 77 provinces of Thailand.

The 15-year license consists of two 10-MHz bands: 713-723 MHz and 768-778 MHz. dtac TriNet, a subsidiary of dtac, paid the first installment of 1,881,488,000 THB, including VAT, to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Communication (NBTC) on December 21st, 2020. The 2nd through 10th installments are required to be paid within 15 days of the anniversary of the spectrum license fee award each year.
