August 24, 2024 – In response to the heavy rainfall in Thailand, which has caused flash floods and forest runoffs, resulting in a flood crisis affecting numerous households across several provinces, True Corporation, in collaboration with the NBTC, is providing assistance to customers in flood-affected areas across various provinces (customers will receive confirmation via SMS). The relief measures include:
- Extending the validity of prepaid customers’ credit by an additional 7 days and suspending service disconnections.
- Extending the payment deadlines for postpaid customers of TrueMove H, dtac, TrueOnline, and TrueVisions by an additional 7 days to ensure continuous communication.
Additionally, True Corporation has activated its emergency response plan, setting up a special operations team at the Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance network reliability for 5G, 4G, and home internet services. This “War Room” will monitor the network 24/7 for emergency missions. Mobile cell sites (COWs) and vehicles, including both cars and boats, are prepared for accessing flooded areas. Backup equipment and spare parts are on standby for emergency repairs, and coordination with relevant government and private entities is in place to ensure reliable service for customers during this emergency.
